The Colorado Cup races are really heating up. Rather than spreading out as the comps add up, the top teams are actually moving closer together because different teams are pulling out wins! All the results (individual and season) are up-to-date through Englewood, so click on the results or standings links to see what I mean.
Plus, let us not forget the spectacular Bouncin’ Barney Catch of the Day pulled off by Lexi (with a little help from Deb Williamson, of course). In case you missed it, Lexi made an over the shoulder, near-blind, upside-down catch, of a throw that was destined to end up in the grass – but no, Lexi made it look like she makes those kinds of catches all the time!
Finally, a very, very, HUGE THANKS goes out to everyone who stepped in to help out wherever needed. From Sherry and James lugging equipment back and forth to the trailer; to Charlie, Russ and Russ, Marie, Sherry, Christi, and Kerry judging whenever needed; to Becky, Chris, and Marie keeping us entertained and moving along as MCs; to Jeff spinning the tunes in Lena’s absence. And of course the tireless efforts of our normal crews: Matt and his field set-up crew; Jenn, Jeri, and crew flawlessly handling registration; and Amanda keeping us all instantaneously up-to-date on the scores all day long. What a wonderful luxury to be able to have so many people to count on. Thank you, one and all!
