Wow! What a day! Despite the threat of rain hanging over us all day, it didn't rain until the
very end of the competition, and the weather actually turned out quite nice. With a record 60 TEAMS
in Intermediate, and 97 TEAMS total, we had a lot of dogs to run. The well oiled machine that is our
CDD crew kept things moving, though, and we made it through by the skin of our teeth.
Congratulations to Sue Visocchi and Fabi for their Novice win. Mike Cooper and Kiva had a big second round
but it wasn't quite enough, as they take 2nd, with Stacy Hood and Callie grabbing third. The Rookie of
the Year race is shaping up to be a classic!
In Intermediate, Jeff Mueller and Fly got back to form and placed 1st, barely edging out Russ Friesen and
Charlie who took 2nd. Jay Smartz and Durango then took 3rd in a tie breaker with Darrel Earle and Nana.
In Open, Matt DiAno and Maggie blew everyone out of the water with a 20 point distance round and took
first, while Michael DiLillo and Kinks had a great day and grabbed 2nd. With another great distance
round, Mark Brisse rounded out the top 3 in 3rd.
