Just in time to get your last competition in before summer officially begins,
this year's Englewood event will again be held at Sheridan Community Park on
Saturday, June 24th. Registration will start at about 8:30 with the competition
getting under way at 9:00 using the Skyhoundz format.
Can you believe that it is already the mid-point of the season? If this were a
horse race the teams would be "heading down the back stretch" and jockeying for
position. Well, that is exactly what is happening! The race to determine this
year's Colorado state champion is well under way -- with only a few points currently
separating the top teams. Each competition just seems to make it closer and closer.
So who will take home the top prizes on June 24th? You better be there to find out!
Besides the standard three divisions (Novice, Intermediate, and Open), Englewood
will also feature the non-competitive Recreational Division for those who want
to play without being ranked. (Note: Recreational Division teams will not receive
a complementary disc until it is determined that there is an adequate supply for
the competitive divisions)
We've got some very special surprises in store for this year
including medals going eight deep in each division!! There will be
other fun stuff happening, too. So we're hoping to see all of you
there.
This is a Skyhoundz sponsored event, so there are no entry fees. However, as always
the club will be selling discs, merchandise, and water and sodas. If you haven't
bought your "All About Altitude" disc and t-shirt yet, what are you waiting for?
Sheridan Community Park in on Oxford Ave., behind the high school, two blocks west of
Federal Blvd. This is the same park where we held last year's Englewood competition,
as well as the after-event BBQ for the CCC in August.
